Golf has never been more popular — and never had more people picking up a club for the first time. Most golf media is written for committed players who already know the lingo. We're building the opposite: clear, honest, beginner-first guides that get you on the course with confidence, plus gear reviews we actually test.
Everything here is written by real golfers, tested on real courses, and updated when the answer changes. No jargon, no fluff, no pay-to-play reviews.
Who we are
We're a small team of everyday golfers — a mix of low- and mid-handicappers with a combined 30-plus years playing the game and hundreds of rounds spent testing clubs, balls, and training aids. Our founder has played for 15 years and logged 200-plus testing rounds. We started Fairway Labsto give new golfers the straight answers we wish we'd had.
How we work
- We test gear on real courses before we recommend it.
- Distance, stat, and handicap figures come from published data and are labeled as estimates.
- Rules explanations follow the current Rules of Golf from the USGA and The R&A.
- Affiliate links never change our verdict — and we disclose them.
- We review and update content when the answer changes.
