Pin high

Pin high in practice

Coaches often tell golfers to “take your medicine” and simply aim for pin high rather than firing directly at a tucked flag, since a shot that’s pin high but off-line is usually easier to save par from than one that’s short or long. Missing pin high left or right still leaves a manageable up-and-down in most cases.
