Scrambling
How it works
Every missed-GIR hole is an eligible scrambling opportunity; finishing the hole in par or fewer strokes counts as a successful scramble. The count of successes is divided by total missed-green opportunities, combining both the short-game shot and the putt that follows it into one outcome.
What's a good Scrambling?
PGA Tour players scramble around 58-62 percent of the time. A good amateur scrambling rate is closer to 25-35 percent, and because everyone misses greens, a strong scrambling percentage can hide otherwise mediocre ball-striking on a scorecard.
