What Is One-Putt Percentage?

One-Putt Percentage
How it works
Every hole is checked for whether exactly one putt was taken, and that count is divided by total holes played, or total greens reached in some versions. Because starting putt distance varies so much hole to hole, this stat is heavily influenced by approach-shot proximity, not putting stroke alone.
What's a good One-Putt Percentage?
PGA Tour players one-putt around 40-43 percent of holes. Amateur one-putt rates vary widely and can look surprisingly close to tour numbers on scramble-heavy rounds, since a short chip-and-putt counts the same as a holed 20-footer for this stat.
